The class has began to keep track of progress through a ranking system, the results-to-date of which are below. We’re still working out the best way to run this – but so far it goes something like this:

1. Any regatta which counts as a regatta in which there are at least 5 Extras finishing in more than one race counts
2. High points scoring is used based on rank in each regatta. 1st in a 10 boat fleet gives you 10 points, 2nd in the same fleet gives you 9, etc.
3. Boats which finish no races get no points – but they count towards fleet numbers
4. Nationals’ points are doubled
5. Ranking ends after nationals
